Fjord Aviation’s Jet Spout Adapter, made of durable impact absorbing urethane polymer, is a quick way to switch from the «Duckbill» or «J» spout to a 1 in. round spout (1 in. ID x 6 in. Length) when fueling jet fuel for over wing aircraft (fixed wing or rotor wing).
No special tools required. Simply slide the adapter over the «Duckbill» or «J» spout and it becomes a 1 in. round spout ready for service. Make sure the «Duckbill» or «J» spout has a smooth surface and edge so a snug fit occurs to prevent leakage.
Warning: FAA Advisory Circular # 150/5230-4 «Section Aircraft Fueling» requires connection of the nozzle’s static bonding cable, clamp/plug to the aircraft’s receptacle, post or other metal part of the aircraft before opening the fuel tank cover.
